Report by the notary, Duarte, at the command of Alonso Criado de Castilla, President of the Real Audiencia of Guatemala, concerning the expedition undertaken in 1590 by Francisco de Valerde y Mercado for the purpose of examining the ports of Caballos and Fonseca as possible substitutes for the ports of Nombre de Dios and Panama.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area.
